Make no mistake in the Gulf or Greene county shrimping is hard work!

On the hill just beyond this shrimp pond in Eutaw you can still see evidence of the April 27 storms which moved through this area during the early morning.

The week we visit the Shrimp Harvest, but we're still a long way from the Gulf. This harvest of genuine salt water shrimp is underway in Greene county. It's proving to be very profitable for some Black Belt farmers but the real winner is the Alabama consumer who can enjoy these tasty treats.

How it happened and what you can expect as you pack your cooler and head for Eutaw is the subject of this week's visit. Tune in Friday night and meet a couple of Greene county shrimpers who are, of course, Absolutely Alabama!
